Several weeks ago I purchased a Weatherby Series 2 in .270 Winchester. The rifle is as adevstired, fit and finish is excellent, it has the look and feel of a quality gun. I purchased three different brands of ammo, one each from Remington, Federal, and Winchester. The Remington Cor-Lokt, 130 grain PSP, shot .711 inches at 100 yds. from a bench. The first two shots, after fouling shots while adjusting the new Leupold VX II scope, were .313 the third shot spreading the group to the .711 . Sub MOA. My rifle will shoot sub MOA with a basic brand of ammo. The Winchester Super X, 130 grain power point, that is also referred to, on the back of the box, as CXP 2, was a little over 1 at 100 yds. This same ammo shoots sub MOA in another of my rifles. The Federal Power Shok , 130 grain soft point, was 1 1/2 at 100 yards. When sighting in the rifle at 50 yards, twice I placed two shots, one just through the hole of the other, elongating the first hole in the target.

This is by far and away the best base/ring combo for a V2. I don’t know how ‘POPPY’ rated this at 2 stars. It weighs next to nothing. Is machined perfectly by a machinist here, in NC of our U.S. of A. Looks better than anything Leu, Weav, Nik, Burr, or anybody else has turned out. If I could post a pic of how sweet my V2 looks with my DNZ and VXIII is, I would. And I would let the critters know it’s currently
maintaining a 100% harvest ratio/to shot at ratio
